Stephanie Mastrolillo - muralist I founded Sunset Studio in 2000. Sunset Studio began with my interest in painting furniture, and has gradually expanded to include murals, faux finishes, color analysis, and interior decorating services. I hold a diploma in Residential Planning from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and I am currently continuing my education in Interior Design. My design passions include custom murals, green design, creating organized, functional spaces, and interior decorating. I am honest, reliable, and respectful of my client's budget, needs and wishes. Murals & trompe l'oeil - custom designs are inspired by your individual ideas, style, and taste. Faux finishes - beautifully rendered illusions of texture or depth; various techniques are utilized to turn ordinary materials, such as fiberglass and sheet rock, into designer materials such as marble or stucco. Residential planning - using the principals of design, such as scale and balance, to make the best use of available space. Color analysis & consultation - using color to manipulate the scale and mood of a room; consulting services inform and educate about the best uses of color. Decorative painting - coating surfaces with paint intended to decorate a room or piece of furniture; including architectural and aesthetic painting. Furniture painting - decorative painting techniques for furniture and/or cabinetry. Ceiling treatments - incorporating artistic methods onto the ceiling plane to include it in the room as a whole. The ceiling is the most overlooked surface in a room. Organization - using color and space planning to create efficient organizational spaces.
